Mendip clubs are highly competitive but also very sociable – a winning combination for having a great time! As an example of this, on the 12th March 2016 The Wessex Cave Club will be hosting a Ceilidh at Priddy Village Hall. The music will be provided by by The Back Room Bar Band (Band website)
The event starts at 7pm and continues until 11pm. At 8pm there will be an interval for pie and mash.
The bar, run by the club, will be open from 6:30pm.
Tickets include a fabulous Pieminister pie, mash, peas and gravy and pudding.
There is a choice of three delicious pies:
- Moo Pie: A British beef steak, cracked black pepper & real ale pie
- Fungi Chicken Pie: A free range British chicken with field & chestnut mushroom pie
- Heidi Pie (V): A Somerset goats’ cheese, sweet potato, spinach, red onion& roasted garlic pie
Tickets are £10
There are only 100 tickets available and they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis so book yours soon! Tickets will NOT be available on the door, as the pies need to be ordered in advance!

The Wessex Cave Club welcomes all cavers, partners, friends etc. – accommodation is available for pre-booking at the Wessex Hut, or there are other locations nearby in other caving huts.
