The latest edition of the British Caving Association’s Newsletter for July 2016 is now available.
The contents include: a message from the Chairman, Andy Eavis, about the recent AGM which has information on the newly appointed officers and other council members; details of Council meetings for the rest of the year and information on some constitutional changes. It is good to see that the meeting voted to concentrate on conservation and landowner relations at this time.
The rest of the newsletter is largely devoted to a detailed breakdown of the happenings at Eurospeleo 2016, which is now nearly upon us, but also has material about the BCA’s accounts, as presented at the recent AGM, and a plea to club secretaries to get their members to sign up to receive this newsletter as a direct mailing.
There are also details of the recent publication of the Minimal Impact Conservation Code, which we covered here, some notes about the BCA’s website from Dave Cooke and some details of cave access updates in South Wales and Derbyshire.
