News: Descent 249 Now Available

Descent 249 is now available!

Catch up with caving and mining news from around the regions. Features in this issue include: a fascinating article on the loss of Penderyn Cave mentioned in the previous issue (248); a description of the at times hair-raising Croesor-Rhosydd traverse through a mountain in north Wales, complete with some excellent photos; an account of the ups and downs of cave exploration in Mulu, with a survey of the newly-discovered Conviction Cave. In addition, there’s an examination of the issues involved in testing anchors in slate, something that will be of interest to the many mine explorers in the underground community.

Descent is always packed full of news, information and interest and this issue is no exception, maintaining the high standards Wildplaces Publishing have set for themselves over the years. Copies can be obtained from here.
