Overnight an international team of  divers entered the cave, beginning the operation to bring the trapped boys and their coach out of the cave. At 10 am local time 18 divers went into the cave to bring out the boys. The rescue team includes 13 international divers and five Thai navy Seals.

Sources state that the water level in the cave has now dropped sufficiently for the boys to be “walked out” through most of the route at least and that they were at “peak readiness.”

It may still be several days before the operation is complete, but the first of the team – hopefully with the first of the boys – are expected out of the cave at 9 pm. local time (3 pm. BST). We hope to bring a further update around that time.
