Information has been received from Terry Northam at Welsh Water/Dwr Cymru to confirm that there is to be a planned release of water from an upstream dam on Monday 8 August 2016. This will affect the River Mellte and the cave of Porth yr Ogof.

For safety reasons, cavers are advised to avoid the river and the cave on that day.
