Event: The 12th Balkan Cavers’ Camp, 2nd to 8th July 2018

The Romanian Speleological Federation is organising the 12th Annual Balkan Cavers’ Camp which is being held between the 2nd to the 8th of July 2018. This year’s international meeting will include both the Romanian Speleological Congress and the “Speoarta” International Media Contest. The event is taking place in Baru Mare, in the Haţeg County in Romania.

There’s an additional element of celebration this year to mark the 150th birthday of Emil Racovita, the founding father of international biospeleology and Romanian speleology.

The program will include special presentations, seminars, photo exhibitions and multi-media presentations, as well as field trips to caves in the Şureanu and Retezat Mountains.
