The annual conference arranged by NAMHO members is fast approaching! Have you booked your place?

It is only a few weeks now to the NAMHO 2023 conference and field trip, being held at Grasmere in the Lake District and be hosted by the Cumbria Amenity Trust Mining History Society (CATMHS). The conference runs from Friday July 7th to Monday July 10th. Bookings can be made at the NAMHO Conference website

If you have already booked, you may like to know that there are still a few places on some of the field trips, and some new trips have been added to the schedule. You can amend your booking if you would like to take advantage of this.

Looking to the future, NAMHO are now seeking a venue for the 2024 Conference. If you are thinking of maybe hosting the Conference in 2024, Peter Jackson, current NAMHO Chair, would be very glad to hear from you!  Peter can be contacted via the NAMHO website contact page https://www.namho.org/contacts.php , using the contact form, and selecting Chairman from the dropdown list.

A Conference does NOT have to follow the same pattern as in recent years. It could be a lecture event only, or it could be a trip and walk event only.  Essentially, delegates need somewhere to camp/caravan and somewhere to eat for at least one big social gathering.

NAMHO officers are always willing to help with advice and support and can share many years’ experience of running and being involved in Conferences.

Peter will be at the Grasmere CATMHS Conference this year.
